Durood Wa Salam

The virtues of sending blessings (Durood) upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ are immense, especially on the blessed day of Jumu’ah (Friday). A narration from Hazrat Anas (رضي الله عنه) tells us:

“Whoever recites one thousand times Durood upon me on a Friday, will not die until he sees his place in Paradise.”
(Al-Qaul al-Badee, Page 187)

This Hadith illustrates the great reward and promise associated with the consistent recitation of Durood, particularly on Fridays. It not only increases our closeness to the Prophet ﷺ but also secures a view of Jannah (Paradise) even before death.

Another narration from Hazrat Ibn Masood (رضي الله عنه) supports this, stating that Zaid bin Wahab once said:

“I saw a person on Friday who did not stop reciting Durood a thousand times. He was saying:
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الأُمِّيِّ وَعَلٰی آلِهِ وَسَلِّمْ”

Let us take advantage of this beautiful opportunity and make it a habit to send Durood abundantly every Friday. A thousand Durood might seem like a lot, but the reward is beyond imagination — a glimpse of your place in Paradise!
